SIMS 7 - Change to Covid 19 Attendance Codes (England)

SIMS 7 Newsfeed - Workstation Patches for the Summer Release 2021 - 20 Aug 17:45 (Updated as of 24th August)

Correction: - This information has been shared with the wider set of customers for information.  The change has yet to ship and is anticipated to be released in early September 2021 for SIMS 7.  Please note the change to the single character LA code at the base of the page.

TI's should contact partner support if they require the upgrade when available.

This workstation patch will be provided to deal with the following very late changes to DfE specifications.

DfE CBDS for academic year 2021/22

Tools | Statutory Returns Tools | Update Funding and Monitoring

  • 16-19 Tuition Fund (Yes/No)
  • Repeating Year 13 (Yea/No)
  • School Led Tutoring (Yes/No)
    • Cumulative Hours for School Led Tutoring as at Autumn Census (to an accuracy of .5 of an hour)
    • Cumulative Hours for School Led Tutoring as at Spring Census (to an accuracy of .5 of an hour)
    • Cumulative Hours for School Led Tutoring as at Summer Census (to an accuracy of .5 of an hour)

Focus | Attendance/Lesson Monitor etc

The changes to attendance subcodes have been confirmation by the DfE and are intended to help schools cope with changes to the education settings status form for academic year 2021/22.

  • Two existing coronavirus related attendance subcodes of X to be made inactive
  • Two new coronavirus related attendance subcodes of X added

 

School Census Autumn 2021

Routines | Statutory Returns | School Census

  • 16-19 Tuition Fund (Yes/No)
  • Repeating Year 13 (Yea/No)
    • Study programme and learning aims from end of academic year 2020/21 reported as being completed with an end date at the end of the work academic year 2020/22
    • Study programme and learning aims from the start of academic year 2021/22 reported as continuing with a start date at the start of the working academic year 2021/22
  • School Led Tutoring (Yes/No)
    • Cumulative Hours for School Led Tutoring as at Spring Census (to an accuracy of .5 of an hour)
    • Cumulative Hours for School Led Tutoring as at Summer Census (to an accuracy of .5 of an hour)
