Although the Crown Dependencies of Guernsey, Isle of Man and Jersey tend to stay roughly in line with DfE CBDS for many school related purposes, they have chosen not to stay fully in line with the large changes to DfE session attendance codes for 2024/25 onwards.
Guernsey and Isle of Man
We have provided database patch 29063 for schools in Guernsey (LA code 706) and Isle of Man (LA code 705) for reversing the move to the new set of DfE session attendance codes for 2024/25 onwards. Jersey schools will have the same session attendance codes as they had before upgrading to the SIMS Summer Release 2024.
Patch 29063 has been applied to SIMS Connected/Hosted schools with an LA code of 706 or 705. This patch will not run for schools whose LA code is other than 706 or 705.
Jersey
We have provided database patch 30111 for schools in Jersey (LA code 707) for reversing the introduction of session attendance code Q for secondary schools and for reversing the removal of code H for all Jersey schools. Jersey schools will have the same session attendance codes as England apart from secondary schools not having session attendance code Q available and apart from all Jersey schools having session attendance code H available.
Patch 30111 has been applied to SIMS Connected/Hosted schools with an LA code of 707. Patch 30111 will not run for schools whose LA code is other than 707.
